The performance appraisal is an important part of performance management. In itself it is not performance management, but it is one of the range of tools that can be used to manage performance. This one day workshop provides participants with an opportunity to practice the skills needed to conduct an effective appraisal. Particular focus will be placed on effective goal setting strategies and techniques; participants will also learn the importance of performance appraisals in the context of boosting the organisation's purpose whilst enhancing their abilities to become better appraisers.
